Leaving aside Katherine Ruonala’s multimillion dollar home and lavish lifestyle. Their Glory City Church has turned into quite the money maker for those at the Ruonala round table. Like any good money making business the Ruonala’s are franchising. You won’t have to travel far to have a head-office approved, pre-packaged prophetic word declared over your life.

Katherine RuonalaMind you it’s a bit of a clayton’s network as most of these so-called churches are simply a Facebook page, and some of those pages don’t even have a face behind the page. It’s a bit embarrassing really. The websites that are up are poor attempts to customise a WordPress theme or Drupal distribution, themes that even in their day were second rate. Not too much of a surprise when you look at the Glory City Church or Katherine Ruonala  websites; both built with the same $50 theme, a poor choice of fonts, disastrous colour scheme and Katherine Ruonala wins the Photoshop phonies award, so much airbrushing – Sheesh!

The Glory City Church is not an entity in itself it is the trading name of “Glory Gathering Australia Ltd”.  Yes I know, but no, this demonic business has no affiliation with www.glorygathering.com and www.glorygathering.org sister websites of the www.bereanexaminer.com.au. While doing the, we are not affiliated with: The Berean Examiner has no formal affiliation with ‘Pirate Christian Radio’s Berean Examiner’ or Amy Spreeman from Berean Research However we have the greatest respect for their work and admire the sacrifice they have made to confront the darkness pervading so many churches.

Glory Gathering Australia Ltd took in $986,181.13 for the 2015 – 2016 financial year. Yup thats right, almost a million dollars. These are the official figures, it is possible that the actual figures are much, much higher. Worth note is the disclaimer added by the auditor:

“Our objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial report as a whole is free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes our opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance, but is not a guarantee that an audit conducted in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards will always detect a Material misstatement within it exists.  Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and are considered material if, individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expected to influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of this financial report.” CKG Partners Chartered Accountants

So we know they spent about $50.00 on their website.  What are they doing with the rest of the $986,131.13?   Take a look into the declared financials of Glory Gathering Australia Ltd and you can read their constitution. Click this link ‘The Australian Charities and not-for profit commission”

Correct me if I’m wrong but when I look at the constitution, the Ruonala’s can spend the charities money on what they want, when they want, without any accountability. Has this organisation ever opened their books to their members, do they hold Annual General Meetings? Katherine Ruonala would become an ordained minister in the Lutheran Church before that would happen.

That the Glory City Church is registered as a charity beggars-belief. A charity provides help and raises money for those in need. I know of no charity that spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on broadcast equipment, business class air travel and extravagant dinning.  A charity should not be a vehicle to promote the deluded ravings, of troubled middle aged woman, with a messiah complex.

That’s a bit harsh I hear you say, while others are nodding their head in agreement. Katherine Ruonala’s preaching and ministry are about God  Katherine Ruonala. She spends more time talking about herself, writing about herself and looking at herself than any mention of God.  Her ministry is one of Gnostic metaphysical encounters, you won’t find sound biblical exegesis here. Katherine says about herself:

  • She brings a message of love and hope to the nations.
  • She carries a strong prophetic and miracle anointing
  • Many being instantly healed
  • She spreads the fires of revival
  • She ignites a fresh passion in the hearts of believers to go deeper in their relationship with God.”
  • She believes that every person that interacts with her interacts with Christ.

Is there evidence of a single prophecy from Mrs Ruonala that has come to pass?

Is there a single documented case of healing, medical reports to show anyone healed?

What is the message of love and hope, does she preach the Jesus from the bible?

Is there a single church, group or meeting in revival because of her ministry?

Are those she ministers to growing in their relationship with God or encountering a false spirit.

In a recent email exchange with Tom Ruonala, Katherine Ruonala’s husband and Honorary Finish Consul in Brisbane, I offered to publish on our websites www.glorygathering.com and www.thebereanexaminer.com.au any documented case of healing.  Below is an extract from an email sent on the 24th of February 2017 in response to an enquiry from Mr Ruonala. At the time of this article the Ruonala’s have failed to produce a single documented case of healing.

“THOSE WHO HAVE DRUNK THE COOL-AID MAY NOT QUESTION KATHERINE’S CLAIMS TO HEAL CANCER, OPEN DEAF EARS, RAISE THE DEAD, OR HER CLAIMS THAT SHE HAS A ‘SPECIAL’ RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD (NO WARNING SIGNS OF A CULT THERE), BUT IT IS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST THAT THESE CLAIMS ARE EITHER VERIFIED OR REFUTED.  IF YOU CAN PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF THE SMALLEST MIRACLE; SUCH AS A MEDICAL REPORT BEFORE AND AFTER, I WILL GLADLY PUBLISH THIS ON MY WEBSITES. IF YOU CANNOT SUBSTANTIATE A SINGLE MIRACLE YOU ARE DELIBERATELY DECEIVING THE PUBLIC AND THIS WILL NOT CONTINUE UNCHALLENGED”.

Still waiting for a response…
