1. The Glory City Church in Brisbane was founded by Katherine & Tom Ruonala, and claims to be Brisbane’s friday night revival. Yes, one night a week revival.

The church has its ‘school of the supernatural’  that will teach you how to become a revivalist (just like Katherine Ruonala) for a price. Pay up your  $1845 you will be “activated in your ministry with hands on practical training”  You then be equipped to live the dream and take the unlimited power of God into your sphere of influence. However part of your becoming a revivalist you must buy Katherine’s new book. It is interesting to note that  the bible of is not required reading, that would just get in the way. As it has been said  the teaching of a false prophet cannot withstand scrutiny under the divine  light of scripture.

Jesus said:

Matthew 10:9–10:

“Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts,

or a bag for your journey, or even two coats, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker is worthy of his support.

The word of God is very clear, you cannot buy the gifts of the Spirit.  In Acts 2:30-23  simon wanted to pay the Apostle Peter for the gift to impart the Holy Spirit. Outraged,  the Apostle Peter  says;

Acts 8:20–23; But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.  Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.  For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

If anyone offers you this ‘special training’ and they want to charge you for it, run as fast as you can and never look back. You have stepped into the vipers den, the abode of those who would peddle the gifts of the spirit for a price. These are not apostles or prophets but deceivers, charlatans, false prophets.

False teachers invite you to the masters table, for whats on the table, not  because they love the master. So many of these New Age churches talk the talk, boast about all that God is doing but its just that, talk.  You would think for all the world leaders, the glory city church are creating in their school, these great people of influence, that the country would be transformed and Brisbane would be like heaven on earth,  the church would have membership in the thousands but on a good night its just a hundred or so.

As Proverbs 25:14 says A person who promises a gift but doesn’t give it is like clouds and wind that bring no rain.

To be a part of the ministry school you must be ‘fully committed’ (that means dare not use the spirit of discernment and whatever you do never question the methods and motives of the leaders) of course you do need to have a healthy bank balance.

Jesus said my sheep will hear my voice and He didn’t take MASTER-CARD or VISA. The claim that the Glory City church is transforming society though supernatural signs and wonders and  the dead being raised doesn’t extend beyond the four walls of the church. If someone was raised from the dead you would think this would be documented but like all these so called miracles there is no evidence, no doctors reports;  but trust them, after all they are pastors.

The Glory City Church  seems to be  nothing more than a personality cult built upon ‘special’ revaluation.  Their teaching is heavily influenced by the occult and the only tangible measurable experience you will have is likely to be  the feeling of your wallet being emptied. As much as these charlatans may wish, God isn’t looking the other way, Ezekiel has this to say.

Ezekiel 13:9–16

So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord God.

 “It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;

so tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out.

“Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ‘Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?’ ”

Therefore, thus says the Lord God, “I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath.

“So I will tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. And you will know that I am the Lord.

“Thus I will spend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I will say to you, ‘The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone,

along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,’ declares the Lord God.

To desire to prophecy is a good thing, an honourable thing,  but dear saints there are no short cuts in God.  Prayer,  bible study,  loving Jesus with all your heart, mind and soul and you will walk in all the fullness Jesus has for you.  DO NOT BE DECEIVED!
